Radiochemistry Professor - Open Position
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Radiochemistry, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, College of Sciences 
ROLE of the POSITION
The UNLV Radiochemistry program conducts diverse research in the chemistry of technetium and the actinides in solids, solutions, the environment, and chemical synthesis. Successful applicants will be expected to develop a rigorous, externally funded research program that contributes to the Radiochemistry program research and education mission. A successful professor candidate will also provide leadership in the program and with respect to ongoing or emerging research initiatives while contributing to the education and research excellence of the program. This position requires a doctorate in chemistry, radiochemistry, or a closely related field awarded by a regionally accredited college or university. The ability to mentor graduate and undergraduate students in a research-intensive environment and in radiochemistry laboratory techniques and methods is essential. The ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in chemistry and radiochemistry is also required. The ability to exploit existing radiochemistry laboratory equipment and facilities is desirable. Preference will be given to a senior faculty hire.
