Dr. John H. Shinn
John H. Shinn has been involved in energy and environmental
activities since 1975. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the
University of California Berkeley, and has been employed with Chevron
Corporation since 1979 in a broad range of consultation, research and
development and corporate assignments. Dr. Shinn has been actively involved
in the global climate change issue since 1990 as a member of Chevron Corporation's
and ChevronTexaco’s internal climate change programs, and as a former
Chairman of the oil industry’s principle engagement group on climate
change (the Climate Change Working Group of the International Petroleum
Industry Environmental Conservation Association). His primary responsibilities
involve serving as internal advisor to ChevronTexaco operating entities
worldwide on issues of greenhouse gas management, international and national
climate policies and programs, and on sustainable development. |
