Has anyone seen this info? Arnie Gunderson ready to relocate to the southern hemisphere?!!
Anyone have any links to this info or this effort? It's very alarming to read. https://www.facebook.com/micah.sky/posts/419687841376725 Thirteen months have passed since the Fukushima reactors exploded, and a U.S. Senator finally got off his ass and went to Japan to see what is going on over there. What he saw was horrific. And now he is saying that we are in big trouble. See the letter he sent to U.S. Ambassador to Japan Ichiro Fujisaki, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and NRC’s Chairman Gregory Jaczko here. But what is so ironic about this is that we have been in this heap of trouble since March of 2011. March 17th, to be exact, when the plume of radioactive materials began bombarding the west coast of California. And Oregon. And Washington. And British Columbia. And later Maine, Europe, and everywhere in between. Independent researchers, nuke experts, and scientists, from oceanography to entomology and everywhere in between, having been trying to sound the alarm ever since. The scientists most upset are those who have studied the effects of radiation on health. I’ll say it again, so its really clear: we are in big trouble. The most preliminary reports of soil contamination are starting to come in from the USGS, who has seemed reluctant to share this information. Los Angeles, California, Portland, Oregon, and Boulder, Colorado, so far have the highest radioactive particle contamination out of the entire US. That being said, every single city tested across the country showed contamination from Fukushima. What is even more alarming, however, about the numbers coming in, is that they are from samples taken April 5th, of last year. The Tokyo Electric Power Company, or TEPCO, has only recently confirmed that there were three meltdowns, and they have been ongoing, unabated, for thirteen months, and no effort has been made to contain them. Technology has to be developed/invented to deal with the melted out corium under the reactors. Until then, they will keep doing what they have been doing. TEPCO just keeps dumping water on them, after which they let it pour into the ocean, and steam up through the ground, every second of every day. The jet stream, and a highly dynamic portion of our atmosphere called the troposphere, have been swirling around massive amounts of radioactive particles and settling them out, mostly in rain, over the entire northern hemisphere, especially the west coast of North America, from Alaska down to Baja and even further. Iodine, cesium, strontium, plutonium, uranium, and a host of other fission products have been coming directly from Japan to the west coast for thirteen months. Maybe you have heard about sick seals, polar bears, tainted fish, mutations in dandelions and fruits and vegetables, possibly even animals already, and seaweed. In fact the kelp from Corona del Mar contained 40,000,000 bcq/kg of radioactive iodine, as reported in Scientific American several weeks ago. If you don’t know your becquerels, its a lot. That’s what your pacific fish feed on. And that was only ONE isotope reported. There were up to 1600 different isotopes that have been floating around in our air, pouring out of the reactors, and steaming out of the ground, every second of every day, for 13 months. And there has been silence from our mainstream media, for which the depths of depravity are so severe I will devote an entire article just to the “why” at a future time. But back to the research: reports in the past week indicate the pollen in southern California is radioactive now too, and it is flying around, and if you live there and go outside, you are breathing it in. And so are your children. Along with fission products blowing over from Japan. And radiation in your drinking water. And in your rain. And in the fish you are eating. And your vegetables. And the milk supply. And its happening every second, of every day. For 13 months. Are you starting to see a problem here? Problem is, that’s not even the biggest problem. The biggest problem is what Senator Wyden is all bent out of shape about, even though independent researchers and nuke experts have been warning about this for a year. And that is that the Reactor #4 building is on the verge of collapsing. Seismicity standards rate the building at a zero, meaning even a small earthquake could send it into a heap of rubble. And sitting at the top of the building, in a pool that is cracked, leaking, and precarious even without an earthquake, are 1565 fuel rods (give or take a few), some of them “fresh fuel” that was ready to go into the reactor on the morning of March 11th when the earthquake and tsunami hit. If they are MOX fuel, containing 6% plutonium, one fuel rod has the potential to kill 2.89 billion people. If this pool collapses, as Senator Wyden is now saying too, we would face a mass extinction event from the release of radiation in those rods. That is, if we aren’t in one already. Nuke experts like Arnie Gundersen and Helen Caldicott are prepared to evacuate their families to the southern hemisphere if that happens. It is that serious. So now you know, if you didn’t before. We are in big trouble. Get informed. Start paying attention to this. Every single statement in this article is verifiable, and I will continue to verify and validate the seriousness of this situation at every opportunity I have. This may be the most important thing you ever pay attention to, for the sake of your family, friends, your neighbors, every one you know and meet, all of humanity. It’s been thirteen months, you have some catching up to do...

Davis was the first scientist in the world to discover that magnetism consists of two separate energies with different effects, it's not a singular form of energy with a singular effect, as is still widely believed today. The North and South poles have opposite effects.
Davis found that South pole magnetism is harmful to our health and will cause bacteria, germs, and even cancer to grow and spread at an accelerated rate in the body, while North pole magnetism will quickly stop the growth and assist the body to overcome disease. Just as Becker has said, Davis and Rawls found that many devices used in hospitals actually compound the problem. Radiation, for example, emits positive and negative electromagnetic energies. The positive energies can actually stimulate the growth of the cancer cells, similar to the way positive (South) magnetic energies do.
The first book by Davis and Rawls, "Magnetism and Its Effects on the Living System", goes into detail about how magnetism affects the physical and mental development of animals, the growth of plants, and among other topics, a detailed account of the effects both negative and positive magnetic energies have on cancer. "The Magnetic Blueprint of Life", the last of their books, expresses the relationship of air ions to health, how magnetism can be utilized in energy production, and it has in-depth information on how these positive electromagnetic energies, which are all around us, endanger us to a greater degree each and every day. We are being lied to about the safety of many electrical products on the market today, cell phones included.
Not good information
Many facts presented by that author are either wrong or misleading, so that is not a good source of information.
Some examples:
The article cited gives a figure of "2.5 becquerel per gram of dry weight" from Corona Del Mar. That would be 2,500 Bq/kg, not "40,000,000" Bq/kg. Scientific American also points out that "In the kelp itself, the amounts of Fukushima radioactivity were about the same as natural radioactive potassium" — this is very good context for the scale of the radioactivity.
There is no justification for this statement, and there's definitely no reason for such a precise number.
Absolutely false. For one thing, the meltdowns were feared immediately when the accident began and confirmed soon after. The reactors have been in a state of cold shutdown since December 2011, which means that the cores have been adequately cooled and the decay heat has decreased to a low level. And it is more than a stretch to say that "no effort has been made" — the Japanese have been working very hard to mitigate the accident and contain the releases and have been very successful amidst a tremendously difficult situation.

The rods on the roof
Hello Mark,
Regarding the rods in a pool on the roof of Building 4
that is about to collapse, is that true and if so how concerned should we be?
Mark already answered this

very low danger
My God, You Commenters Are Seriously Brainwashed
By an inadequate educational system. You people need to wake up and fast.
News is leaking out that the "entire Pacifc" is being contaminated.
Sorry, but you guys from Berkley are totally insane judging by some of your comments.
Remember, a high IQ does not make you a wise person, it just makes you a dangerous one in the wrong hands.
You are being educated by individuals who develop nuclear weapons and try to "ignite the earths atmosphere", how wise is that?
Its not.
Idiots.
BROTHER!!!
Nobody is "igniting the earth's atmosphere" or attempting to do same.
In the early days of the Manhattan project, scientists at Los Alamos made some rough estimates as to how hot a nuclear explosion would get. Their rough estimate was an over-estimate that was high enough to ignite the atmosphere.
However, after that initial estimate, more accurate calculations were made that showed that nuclear weapons do NOT get hot enough to ignite the atmosphere.
Additionally, there have been atmospheric tests of nuclear weapons, from the original Trinity, the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as well as hundreds of nuclear and thermonuclear tests carried out by the USA and the Soviet Union during the '50s. None of these got hot enough to ignite the atmosphere.
Your foolish attempt at fear-mongering just shows how the stupid anti-nukes have contempt for scientific truth in their self-righteous crusade to scare people into supporting the parochial interests of the anti-nukes. Contemptible!!
What does this tripe have to
What does this tripe have to do with Fukushima? We're learning more and more every day, but if you are going to stay sleepy by watching your TV for information, then you get what you deserve.
Gundersen is one of the best sources for information on what is going on. I suggest you read his writings on the subject.
You better stop the "science"
You better stop the "science" before you kill us all.
If only "Armageddon Arnie"'d
If only "Armageddon Arnie"'d relocate to Mars, and take H-E.L.E.-n with him.
COMEDY!!!!
Nuke experts like Arnie Gundersen and Helen Caldicott are prepared to evacuate their families to the southern hemisphere if that happens.
Gunderson and Caldicott are "nuclear experts"????
Now THAT is funny!!!
If they do go to the southern hemisphere; then I hope they DO FORGET to write.
Yes-Gundersen and Caldicott are nuclear experts
And simpletons who berate them- especially given how accurate Gundersen has been in calling 'event by event' since Fukushima blew- are just that: 'simpletons'.
But that is what BRAWM breeds isn't it? 'Pro Nuclear Lobby fools'- devoid of science but 'filled to the brim' with personal attacks directed at those whose shoes BRAWM isn't fit to 'shine', much less 'fill'?
The tsunami backup generators were conceived of, designed, constructed and implemented 'below the water line' by NRC approved nuclear experts, were they not? The same nuclear experts who avoid admitting that 'Radiation Cloud Days' for schoolchildren would be prudent when we have explosions which send clouds of iodine-131 over our collective heads- improving everyone's chances for thyroid cancer, especially the schoolchildren, yes?
Simpletons.
WRONG!!! WRONG!!! WRONG!!!
Gunderson has been flat out WRONG about Fukushima so many times it isn't funny. Gunderson is the one that said that the explosion of Unit 3 was a "nuclear explosion". He doesn't know his Physics. ( BTW - Gunderson only has a Master's degree, and not a doctorate. ) In his own explanation of the Unit 3 explosion, Gunderson notes the "yellow" color of the fireball. Nuclear explosions are so hot ( many millions of degrees ) that they radiate in X-rays. If you radiate X-rays, you radiate all the lower frequencies, including ALL colors of the visible spectrum, so the fireball has to be white. The reason a fireball is yellow is that the temperature is too low to radiate greens, blues, and violets. The yellow color is indicative of a reaction at temperatures characteristic of a chemical reaction, not a nuclear reaction.
I don't know how many times I've heard Helen Caldicott say that if a single kilogram of Plutonium were dispersed into the environment, that it would kill all life on Earth. The problem for her is that due to the years of atmospheric nuclear testing by both the USA and the Soviet Union back in the '50s; the amount of Plutonium that is actually in the environment is about 10 metric tonnes. That's 10,000 kilograms or 10,000 times what Caldicott says will kill all life on Earth. We are still here. At least, some of us are.
You are 100% WRONG about the backup generators. The Fukushima plant could NOT have been licensed in the USA because of the placement of the generators. The NRC requires that the diesel backup generators in US plants be in water-tight vaults. Another "know-nothing" anti-nuke that didn't do his home work is in evidence.

I believe arnie has read issue 82,have you?
http://blog.al.com/wire/2011/10/4_generator_failures_hit_us_nu.html
ATLANTA — Four generators that power emergency systems at nuclear plants have failed when needed since April, an unusual cluster that has attracted the attention of federal inspectors and could prompt the industry to re-examine its maintenance plans.
Yes - OLD NEWS
YES, I've read it and this is old, old news.
The article quotes MIT Professor Michael Golay:
"To me it's not an alarming thing," said Michael Golay, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who studies risk at nuclear plants. "But if this trend were to continue, you'd certainly want to look into it."
The above article also counts generators that were taken offline for maintenance as having "failed". Depending on the maintenance, these "failed" generators may be available in short order.
Additionally, this is also why nuclear power plants have multiple generators; and they don't need them all. Redundancy of having more generators than you actually need is part of the safety factor.

Caution: Pro-Nuke-Liar Forces at Work
Did you post the second time because the first try seemed to fail? I suspect Pro-Nuke-Liar Forces at work - perhaps your posts are being monitored by an intermediary "spoof" agent, as I suspect mine are.
NoGlow
Used to it-
Defensive posturing has been implemented by the website managers every since BRAWM was challenged on their 'pseudo-science'.
The site doesn't even resemble it's former 'open' design interface. Previously it was possible to search threads by the authors of posts etc...
On the upside- at least opposing views still get to post- just have to be persistent.
Thankfully....
From above:
On the upside- at least opposing views still get to post- just have to be persistent.
Thankfully there are posts by anti-nukes to demonstrate how manifestly stupid and ignorant they are.
If anyone has followed this forum, they have seen one anti-nuke after another who didn't do their homework, mindlessly parrot the anti-nuke party line; only to get their butts kicked by those who know the truth and the science.
I've wondered how they ever graduated high school ( a possibly unwarranted assumption on my part ). In recent weeks, we've had anti-nukes tell us that under normal conditions, seaweed doesn't have any radioactivity. ( All plants on this planet have radioactivity, both from primordial potassium-40 (K-40) but also from Carbon-14 generated naturally every day by cosmic rays. ) We've had anti-nukes complain about radioactive heavy water, and tell us that heavy water contains Tritium when they were told heavy water is not radioactive. Heavy water is the oxide of Deuterium, the 2nd isotope of Hydrogen which is NOT radioactive. It's only Tritium, the 3rd isotope of Hydrogen that is radioactive, but heavy water has Deuterium and not Tritium. The little morons must not have taken high school chemistry; or at least, they didn't pass it.
Your thoughts are inert.
??? Sorry your Angry... but you are wrong.
When is Radiation Dangerous?
Radiation is only dangerous when it comes from a terrorist's dirty bomb - in fact it is so dangerous that the mere hypothetical threat is enough to create a global police state and cavity-search everyone daily...
