California Coast Seawater and Sand Sampling
Mark,
Do you have any plans to regularly measure California coast Seawater samples and beach sand to see if there is a measurable increase in Cs-137 etc. from the Fukushima fallout contamination?

Beach samples
If BRAWM would like to test sand and seawater from the Santa Barbara, CA area, let me know. I live here in Santa Barbara and I would be happy to collect samples in baggies and clean bottles and appropriately label the origins and ship them to UC Berkeley. I would also be willing to do some traveling along the coast to collect additional samples.
I also own a top brand Geiger counter which I recently purchased as a result of the Fukushima debacle.
No plans, but good idea
No current plans, but that is a good idea. Unfortunately at this stage I don't think we have the time or manpower to collect samples ourselves though.
