Cesium levels increasing in milk tested by Ca Dept of Health
It does indeed appear that cesium levels are increasing linearly in the milk samples tested by Califonia's Dept of Public Health. This is milk from a herd at San Luis Obispo, I believe.
Does this jibe with UC Berkeley's testing?
Any comments? This is sooo disturbing.

Upsetting, is this not?
So, can we ever again drink the milk and consume milk products from the West Coast? Opinion anyone?
The cesium from 50's bomb
The cesium from 50's bomb testing left the milk....as did the cesium from Chernobyl. How long it will take though I have no idea, but the book linked lower in this thread seem to indicate cesium peaked within a year if Chernobyl.
Correct. It will get washed
Correct. It will get washed down and diluted within a relatively short time frame (maybe a couple of years max)assuming that the contamination is not massive.
All should bear in mind that most of the continental USA recieved between 3000 to 6000 bq/m2 of Cs-137 during the glorious days when you could set off an H-bomb just to get your day started. That crap was in the milk for sure, for some time, but then faded out. We should see the same thing happen here.
State milk testing vs brawm
Last milk result ucb brawm Posted 10/10/ Measured .088 bq/l cesium 137 Converted to pCi/l.=2.38 pCi/l latest cdhp testing 8/22 measured
5.09 pCi/l cesium 137 .almost double .conversion @link (if u take brawms 8/22 cs137 milk result .052 bq/l=1.41 pCi/l intresting even larger difference keep in mind these are "trace amounts"...

Biomagnification
It's known as Biomagnification.
Biomagnification of radioisotopes is particularly strong in wet loamy soils. The radioisotopes will concentrate in the cows that are eating contaminated grasses and pass back into the soils as manure, concentrate in the soil microorganisms, drawn back into the grass via the grass roots, to be fed on by the cows again, thereby concentrating the radioisotopes in the cows which is then passed to the milk. In sandy soils the radioisotopes tend to drop on through the soil and not recycle to the same degree.
The numbers are very disconcerting because they confirm that the same process that happened in the Chernobyl catastrophe is happening here.

Yes, AND Fukushima is still
Yes, AND Fukushima is still releasing isotopes and the nasties are still making their way to our shores. This is not the same as Chernobyl. That was a one time blast. Fukushima keeps on giving.
For the layperson: If that's
For the layperson: If that's so, where does Chernobyl's trend line lead?
Any other states testing
Any other states testing milk?
