I need your help. I am measuring cesium on soil in Becquerel/cm2
All the discussions about contaminations are in Becquerel/ m2
Can you tell me What is the relation between both values?

100 cm = 1 m

Therefore 10,000 cm^2 = 1 m^2 and therefore unity, i.e 1:

1 = 10,000 cm^2 / m^2

Because this value is one, you can multiply it by anything and not change the value of the thing you are multiplying. So if you have 10 Bq/cm^2:

10 Bq/cm^2 = 10 Bq/cm^2 * 10,000 cm^2/m^2 = 100,000 Bq/m^2
