Awesome I didn't notice this fact when I checked new Milk result is / bioaccumulation in play?free range ground beef should be tested brawm!!!!! I love that stuff and I am certain it has radiation in it based on milk test showing increases.

I am still self banning on Milk (and various others) having switched to Almond milk (problem is, the water used to make it is from California) I am concerned about the lettuce I buy with the origin of Salinas, CA and still see no testing results for Salinas, CA produce along with conerns of foods from elsewhere ie: tomatoes from Mexico or for canned tomato products, Florida. but I do wonder about other foods composed of multiple ingredients such as canned foods. Since many come from the midwest ie: canned chili beans etc. I would be curious about results of testing such foods since many of their pack dates are currently showing August 2011.

Thank you BRAWM for the continued testing. The radio-cesium is a persistent problem in the food chain as the cows are now feeding on stored grain as the pasture grasses are fading. The EPA standard cited is for water, the DIL for milk is about 100 times higher. All that aside, the radio-cesium is a real menace:
1) With a 30 year half life, it gives off a beta emission as it turns into Barium 137, half life 153 seconds, which gives off gamma with a photon energy of 662 keV, a one two punch. (WIKI)
2) It bonds well with chlorides making a glowing crystalline powder that mixes well with water, it is inherently unstable and poisonous,(EPA) and has shown, in posts of soils tests on this blog, to accumulate in soils, sometimes in startling proportions. (BRAWM)
3) Biologically it is similar to potassium and, by ingestion, it can accumulate in soft human tissue increasing cancer risks. (CDC)
It is very unique and hard to compare with other naturally occurring and man made sources of radiation. Radio-cesium has all the trappings of lead to the Romans, and should be an substance of concern.
Called West Coast EPA about milk & H2O- Tech said not EPA's job
I Called West Coast EPA today about the Cs in the milk and why are they not testing anymore. Tech said he didn't know anything about it, so he looked on website and said the EPA's offical statement is that it is low levels so stopped testing. He also said that it's not EPA's job to test food for radioactivity. He said to contact my congressman in my state and hung up on me.
We are on our own. We needed to be very nice to BRAWM so they will keep testing our food and answering our questions. Such as what are the possible reactions for the current 3 nuclear meltdowns that are 12m below their containment vessel?
What I don't understand is where are all the scientists? They breath and eat the same food. Why can't they tell us or at least the Japanese what type of masks they should put on their children to stop breathing the MOX cocktail that was spewed out all over their land. Their radioactive isotope levels are not low. Or at least advise them measures they or we could take to eliminate then from their lungs and digestive system before it is incorporated into their muscles, bones, and tissues.
