US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had earlier said the US Air Force had flown emergency coolant to the site.
But US officials later said no coolant had been handed over because the Japanese had decided to handle the situation themselves."""

"Japanese nuclear officials said pressure inside a boiling water reactor at the plant was running much higher than normal after the cooling system failed.Officials said they might need to deliberately release some radioactive steam to relieve pressure, but that there would be no health risk."
Yea how'd that work out for us .jeez, really interesting would emergency coolant be liquid nitrogen? any one know what Hillary Clinton was speaking about . this has had international implications.

Btw
Article was march 11 /. Amazed I am that the us gov knew situation was going to require emergency coolant so early but tepco/ jap gov declined .hmmm
In hindsight, we are putting
In hindsight, we are putting together a lot of seemingly disjointed news reports and bits of information. None add up to kosher.
Laid Bare
They should have gotten a few more competent people. Who was their labor supplier, ? the yakuza ? Maybe they could have gotten them a few engineers for cheep.
The item of fear for the Tepco brass on March 11th, the fear of exposure, was shared by US corporate nukers and probably was the reason for a clandestine and later denied offer of coolant.
Now it has been exposed that the plant was STILL operating, past its 'designed in' shutdown date, and run as cheaply as possible so tepco could maximize profits and in so doing committing a crime against humanity of epic proportions.
Do not let them get away with it. This crime must not pay.
