Plagiarism?
:(
The Al Higgins webpage does not provide links or attribution of sources.
It is not usually easy to verify the validity of his sources and quotes.
So I pay very little attention to what he says.
Too much sensationalism and not enough documentation, by my lights.
Most colleges would 'boot' a freshman on plagiarism charges, who did this.
I expect some basic level of attribution, even on a blog.
Put up or shut up!

"Experts warn off-scale levels of radiation, which are at their highest levels since the disaster began almost 5 months ago, infers hundreds millions dying from the nuclear fallout."
Deborah Dupre, Human Rights Examiner
August 5, 2011
"Fukushima nuclear power plant radiation recordings of external gamma radiation have been so high this week, they went off scale said veteran nuclear expert Arnie Gunderson on Thursday after the famous physicist, Dr. Chris Busby told the Japanese people this week that radioactive air contamination there now is 300 times that of Chernobyl and 1000 times the atomic bomb peak in 1963, possibly inferring that hundreds of millions of people are now dying from Fukushima radiation, including people in the United States.
If noticing unusual amounts of hair falling out, confusion, nose bleeds or other odd symptoms typical of radiation sickness, it might be due to the United States record high levels of radiation, now multiple times acceptable safety limits not only on the west coast, but also in other locations around the nation.
Because Fukushima radiation data retrieval and interpretation has been so complex or non-existent for the concerned public, citizen reporters in Japan and United States have now established easily accessible ways to view radiation levels on the internet.
Fukushima radiation depopulation unfathomable: Possibly 100s of millions deaths
Dr Janette Sherman, a highly respected physician and acknowledged expert in radiation exposure who has reported a north-east United States 35% baby death spike since Fukushima fall-out reached the nation, concurs with estimates that world wide, the Chernobyl Kill is one million people killed to date reported NOVA News. Extrapolating, worldwide deaths by Fukushima radiation could eventually be hundreds of millions of people, becoming the most significant depopulation event to date...."
And, the article goes on....
This article is very sketchy
This article is very sketchy on details. I could word that more harshly, but won't. But let me make a few points-
1) Yes, off-the-scale (for the machine used) radiation on-site. I reckon that there was off-the-scale radiation at Chernobyl, Hanford's Green run, numerous nuclear tests, etc. Off the scale at FK does not necessarily equal "record amounts of radiation in the US."
2) "possibly inferring that hundreds of millions of people are now dying from Fukushima radiation, including people in the United States." - Possibly inferring? Are you kidding me? Then there's "Possibly 100s of million deaths". People, if it is here that heavy, why in the hell can't Berkeley pick up on it?
3) Radiation sickness? I believe the threshold for that is around 50 rem...if there are indeed folks with radiation sickness in the US, there should be large amounts of the radioactive materials kicking around and easy to find with a survey meter/geiger counter. Bear in mind that the radiation levels in NE Japan are most definitely able to be seen on geiger counters (check out safecast.org). That area is very hard-hit, and yet 5 months on there is no report of widespread radiation sickness.
I do think that we will have some increased cancer rates. I do not know if we will be able to discern what is from Fukushima and what is not. But radiation sickness seems like a big stretch when considered in light of the very low levels of contamination being found here. The deaths in the US (and Japan)are years down the road.
"People, if it is here that
"People, if it is here that heavy, why in the hell can't Berkeley pick up on it?"
BRAWM have said themselves they have difficulty detecting Alpha and Beta emitters, and one little speck of reactor fuel dust (fuel flea) breathed in can give you cancer years later. Never mind the cesium 137 reactor core ash we are now eating at elevated levels in our food. Look at the Reactor 3 explosion, the resulting plume of dust, and then the severe damage to what is left of the Reactor 3 building, and then ask yourself why Tepco have not been more forthcoming to explain exactly what exploded there. The fuel-pool at Reactor 3 is extensively damaged, see Fairewinds videos of this.
Alphas and betas are easy
>>BRAWM have said themselves they have difficulty detecting Alpha and Beta emitters,
==============
Boy did you MISUNDERSTAND! Alpha and beta emitters are very EASILY detected because they are charged particles.
The reason BRAWN has trouble is that the levels are so LOW.
You should read the book, "The Instant Physicist" by Professor Richard Muller of the UC-Berkeley Physics Dept. Did you know that the ATF actually requires that liquor sold in the USA must have a minimum level of radioactivity or it can't legally be sold? That's because liquor made from recently grown plant material is radioactive because plants are naturally radioactive. The only way the liquor could not be radioactive is if the alcohol came from petroleum which is so old that the radioactivity has died away. However, liquor made from alcohol from petroleum is outlawed, and ATF uses the radioactivity of recently fermented alcohol as a test.
Go to the Amazon page for "The Instant Physicist" and read the sample pages they display. Those pages include pages 12 and 13 which explain the above. Then buy the book, as it is a wealth of information for non-scientists.

Radiation deaths have already begun in Japan:
First with the Fukushima (50) and the 'missing workers'
Next with IUFD (Intra Uterine Fetal Demise) (males mostly)
Immune system failures ... as the fatality totals mount
The Japanese can continue to lie to each other;
The industry shills can keep up a torrent of lies,
But the deaths are already underway
This is just an offhand comment, not a research paper
in my life, i'd gotten food
in my life, i'd gotten food poisoning only 3 times, and i knew exactly what caused it each time. since fuku, i've had food poisoning-type symptoms, basically a 24-hour flu, 3 more times. and in each case, I had no idea where it came from. same thing with multiple family members and friends all around the country. the only thing i know is that in each case, it happened shortly after very heavy rainfall. if i'm dead in the next 5 years from cancer, i'm going to be very angry.
Yes. If the dead could
Yes.
If the dead could really haunt though, the world would be a very different place. The mob would have to come up with a whole new strategy...
Since I can't haunt after I'm dead, guess I'm going to throw up a stink now, while I still have the chance.
