Domestic discussion and questions.....pls help.
We live in San Diego, near the coast.
We live in a condominium complex, with 8 units.
Way before Fukushima we agreed to have all of the siding ripped off our buildings, and replaced, and replace the windows and sliding glass doors.
The workers and the residents are being exposed to a lot of construction dust, and debris.
I am concerned about the construction particles and dust both because of their toxic/chemical nature of the materials themselves, and because of possible fall out and particulate being tracked in our home from the workers and from it being in our yard and driveway ect.
Should I be VERY concerned ?
My partner says not to worry as long as we vacuum once the work is all done. I feel more concerned and that we should take other precautions.
What do you think ?

If it were me, I'd be damp
If it were me, I'd be damp mopping the tromped on floors every day. But I've made everyone take their shoes off at the door of my house for decades. Your home is a sanctuary. You'll feel better knowing it is as chemical and (isotope) dust free as you can make it.
Experts have recommended
Experts have recommended avoiding doing construction this year.
We can only do what we can do. Take the precautions you think reasonable.
Invest in a good Hepa-air
Invest in a good Hepa-air filter with charcoal filter also. Be sure it is a true hepa air filter. We found ours at Costco. They are great for dust, allergens, and also radionucleotides ; ) We put one in every large room. Good luck.
Thank you
Thank you they are done with our unit and have moved on to the other units now.
I must admit I was flying high with the dust anxiety, and thinking it might be radioactive.
I did what I could.
Maybe I will go for a jog on the beach, and then a surf session to ease my stress about it !
Wait, on second thought that might not be a good idea either....shiiiiiiitake !
Later !
