Update: Orange goo is actually trillions of crustacean eggs from an unknown species. Does anyone else suspect that this could possibly have something to do with the unprecedented levels of radioactive coolant that was recently introduced to the north Pacific?

Man needs a new story. The present one knows at best only how to slow his planetary destruction on a per person basis. We all drink the same feel-good Kool-Aid and pretend all is well. With any luck, I guess, the toxic-radioactive overload will start to sterilize us.

Actually, it's worse than even that. Destruction on a per person basis is rising steadily with the economic progress of the third, second, and emerging worlds. Meanwhile, the current first world masses covet the hyperconsumption rubbed in their faces by the celebrated class.
