SPAM FILTER SEEMS BROKEN

I still see spam and my non spam messages are being blocked. Is this the first symptom of censorship?

A think some of the recent problems people have had when posting can be traced to the CAPTCHA module on our website. I have changed it for now to the text form instead of the image form. Please let me know if the problems are continuing, and apologies again for the frustration I know this has caused some of you.

Text captcha is too easy for the robots to get past, and so we got spammed a lot last night. Still looking into this issue.

Sorry about the problem. I don't notice anything abnormal in the settings and spam list, so could you please give me more information? What spam are you still seeing? Are you getting a message when your posts are blocked?

Also, are others having this same problem?

Again, I am not 'blocked' from commenting. However, the same 'convenient' IP address as before is blocked by the spam filter. This most recent spam blockage began 2 - 3 weeks ago.

The BRAWM webpage was churning very old topics to the top. I traveled through the index to the recently active topics and 'bumped' them.

So, my activities looked like spam, though the measures were taken, in response to (perceived) spam. The churning events could have been some form of webpage maintenance, or alternatively a prank.

I will try using the 'convenient' IP address soon to see if the blockage is cleared.

I have cleared those messages. The only thing I can find for why is was flagged is the message "Cookies should be enabled in your browser for CAPTCHA validation." Did the CAPTCHA give you any problems? I'll check its settings. Sorry again!
