What is the worry, that we will stop buying food and milk? Has Obama blacked out EPA results?

Why not post the EPA results??? Weekly results then nothing????
Is the goal to depopulate, or simply to make sure people keep buying products?

Must be a reason why these

Must be a reason why these dinkos can't be bothered to release pertinent data.

how can this be explained ???

Some good info found here

Found some good stuff here last night - I learned a bit:

Backfired with me because by

Backfired with me because by not doing any testing, working to use clean water, clay soil, greenhouses, feed from a different continent, and the like, I don't trust ANYTHING made in North America after March 14 or so. If they did any of these things I could buy more local products!

If after some time I run out and don't find enough products I need and they still won't do proper testing or remediation, I am leaving, as anyone with common sense will do. Talk about a "brain drain." And yes I suppose I do flatter myself a little, but I'm not referring to myself but all the people who I represent. Meanwhile, I doubt fallout is good for the developing brains that will develop here.

It's very sad, I love(d) my country and I didn't plan to leave. But I'm not going to just rot here like a sitting duck because Obama can't handle telling the dairy industry that their beef is with TEPCO (no pun intended), not the innocent American citizens.

Think the latter.

I think the latter, as I heard somewhere (sorry can't recall where) that Obama told states not to monitor/announce the figures in order to protect the economy, ie people would stop buying stuff from certain areas if they thought it was radioactive. And God forbid we stop buying stuff--it is, after all, what keeps the whole sorry system on the road.

Correct! It's bad enough

Correct! It's bad enough that majority of the people don't read or listen to the news but the black out is unreal. I am sure the "important" people have the information on the fallout! I have been trying to avoid fruits and veg from California, washington, Idaho, b.c for some time now and will continue until I hear otherwise. It's a no brainer, just look at the early figures and you have your answer. The fallout did not vanish. I also see that stores are bringing in produce and dairy from other countries that I have not seen on shelves before...I think that they are noticing that people are not buying from certain areas like they used to. Just look at strawberries from California being on sale whole summer long, wonder why? People are not buying, organic strawberries were never 99 or 1.99 per pound all summer long.

Think this through. Maybe -

Think this through.

Maybe - maybe - one in fifty or one in a hundred is concerned about radioactive materials from Japan. Do you suppose that is what is pushing prices way on down for strawberries - the news blackout has been not quite effective enough and some folks are awake about the possible dangers to quit buying strawberries?

Seems unlikely to me.

FWIW, I am concerned, and I have been regulating the diet for my kids. But I have to admit this - I think my concerns are irrational. The science I am seeing says risk = very low, and likely unavoidable.

BTW, I will add, Northern Japan is screwed, badly. A whole different thing than here. For now. Until, you know, we melt one down stateside.

BC - It's your old friend

BC - It's your old friend DR. I have come to the same conclusion. I've been more than willing to give some of the theories and disputes presented here a little more credit than they deserve but I have to say...these days the only contributors providing solid indisputable facts are the members of BRAWM, yourself and a few others...and those facts seem to indicate that any increased levels are truly insignificant. The fuel fleas/hot particles issues has not been fully resolved but it certainly seems like these are not of a valid concern, because (correct me if I'm wrong here) the body's natural defense is built to combat radioactive particles at levels far higher than we've seen here. My grandfather was a uranium miner in Ouray Colorado decades back. He died of a pretty painful lung cancer. I have no doubt his smoking contributed to his untimely end but I wonder if any studies were done on miners such as himself. I was just speaking to my father and he informed me that my grandmother settled a law suit with the mining company some ten or twenty years back. I wonder if the baby I have on the way is affected in any way, on a genetic level, by my grandfathers exposure. This story might seem off-topic but it certainly made me think about past and present exposure to man-made fission product. Providing a little perspective, if you will. I wonder how previous exposure on your part may affect little future BC's.

It is interesting that you

It is interesting that you say you believe the health impact from inhalation exposure is insignificant and then immediately follow up with that story of your grandfather, god rest his soul.

It is difficult to debunk the hot particle issue, because there's nothing to debunk, it's classic nuclear engineering lore.

Decide it's insignificant as you like, but chelate, chelate, chelate should be the mantra for all of us now.

I do wonder sometimes

I do wonder sometimes whether I may be acting a bit irrational too but all our produce comes from California and the fact that we do not have information coming in from EPA is fueling my concerns. It is driving me crazy! I just wish they would post something to show the trends. I will continue to modify for my kids but after this harvest season the stuff will be on the shelves for a couple of years in tomato sauce, fruit products, etc. And t that point there is not much choice left. It's just sad.

”Northern Japan is

”Northern Japan is screwed" Compared to the US it is, but checking the maps of radiation measurements all over the country it seems like it's basically Fukushima and the Kanto area, with northern Japan including Hokkaido not specially affected.

With more than 40 million people living in Kanto (Greater Tokyo area) it's even worse, however.
