Weekly EPA test results of Field Beta until April 11th. What does this tell you?

I hope the EPA is reading this blog. We know what you doing. Weekly transparency April and nothing available since that time. Has Obama ordered a blackout of EPA results? Someone better be asking?

I think that they have been

I think that they have been "less than transparent". But there's very little questiion in my mind that 95% of the active fallout from Fukushima was done with by mid-april. Look at UCB's test results. Steady decline to ND for everything but soil at this point. Milk may pop back up into detectable levels at some point, but the trend is most definitely down for everything since April.

As for Obama blacking it out, why would he bother? I think that 80% of the population never even knew that there was a meltdown, or what that means. People are immensely stupid, and there is no need to keep them in the dark per se, just a need to not make them panic (ie, stop going to Disneyland). Out of the 20% who knew there was a meltdown, a very small percentage seem to care at all.

For that very small percentage, the web has been the only source of info. Some have gone full blown panic (and who can blame 'em, this is scary) and subscribe to the end-is-nigh enenews or alexanderhiggins POV which is that this event is completely unprecedented and that we are all going to die. Myself, I think that the view reflected by the team here are quite accurate, that there is a very small amount here in the US - and thus the risk is small (but not insignificant). Also, I will add that while a triple meltdown has not happened before, both Chernobyl and the heavy testing in the early 60's exposed people worldwide to similar materials, in higher doses for longer times. People in the US will die from this, but very likely you won't be able to see that number in the background noise.

Weekly Field Results of Field Beta

If the results are insignificant then why not post them. Most of us want to know cesium levels in air, milk and water. I am grateful for this blog due to justifiable fear of radiation, I take thyroid meds several times a day and hold wait in fear everytime I have a thyroid scan as I am high risk for thyroid cancer which likely as a result of the previous bomb testing in the United States. My entire family in Kansas has thyroid problems, SIGNIFICANT thyroid problems. My point is, if there is nothing to worry about across the country then make the info available.

I agree, if you didn't catch

I agree, if you didn't catch that from my post. It would be nice to know that EPA tested for X-XXX on 7/18-21 and the filter came back negative. Much more reassuring.

It is a peculiar way to do it but I suppose their usual protocol is more geared to non-detects than detects.
