Testing other food items??
I just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of gratitude for what you folks are doing. Thank you for sticking with this!
I was wondering if you have any plans (or would be willing) to test other food items now that the ones you've been testing regularly are clear. Things like eggs, free range chicken, onions, potatoes, apples, etc.
I am very curious to know what these items look like right now.
Thanks again!

You're very welcome. We are
You're very welcome. We are glad to provide these measurements to keep you all informed about the levels of radiation from Fukushima.
We have tested many food items, with particular attention to those items that we expected to show the highest levels. Unfortunately, because the levels have gotten so low in everything we have tested, and because a new semester will begin in only a few short weeks, we will not be able to sustain a broad campaign of food chain monitoring. We have a few odd samples that we would still like to measure, and we will also continue to follow milk levels until they are consistently below our MDA.
One last point here for completeness — as we have been saying all along, the radiation doses from the foods we have tested are very tiny and are far lower than even small variations in natural background radiation. We in BRAWM have not changed our diets since we believe the levels have been completely negligible.
I know that many of you disagree with this assessment, and I understand. Everyone is free to choose their own course of action, and we hope that our data have helped you to do that.

As someone who has been around since you guys started posting your finding, I would like to say AGAIN, thank you for everything. You helped this mom calm down, stay informed and make decisions I thought were best for my family. You guys rock. My offer for cookies for you guys and Dr. Chivers still stands. ;o)
Thank you BRAWN for all you
Thank you BRAWN for all you have done! Please, it would be very much appreciated if you would test food such as potatoes, apples, peaches, wheat, and squash so that we can make good choices to protect our children. We need to know to keep going. Thank you!!!
