Geiger Counter not effective for food testing.

Hello. I do believe that buying a geiger counter is a good idea if you can afford a decent one. However, please be careful, I do believe that trying to measure your food with a geiger counter may give you a "false" negative reading.

In other words a geiger counter may be useful for some activities but can be used effectively for measuring food and liquids for consuming. Your geiger counter most likely will not detect radiation in the food unless you have a very expensive highly sensitive geiger counter, or unless the food is extremely radioactive.

Please watch this video for a demonstration. Please note I do not know this you tube poster, nor am I promoting her channel. I just found some of her videos quite useful when Fukushima exploded. Since we are all scouting the internet for answers, I found this person did not seem at all biased either way, and is not selling anything. I think she is just a "bio-nerd" as her channel is called.
