Denver and Albuquerque Bata radiation up

Denver and Albuquerque Bata radiation peaked at 250 counts per minute, probably due to the fire in new Mexico. In the latest news aircraft air samples indicate no elevated levels. I wonder what the EPA's elevated levels would have to be since everything is safe these days.

Probably radon leaking up

Radon leaks up out of the ground the hotter it gets (and its suppsoed to be 100 degrees....I'm not kidding around Ground Zero for Fuk-usa at Omaha. Since the gamma radiation is fairly stable yet, we can hope it isn;t say, radiation from Fuku-flu causing reactors in japan (those summer colds are a real lulu!) or from the canyons surrounding Los Alamos and the trees which are growing on what was once warhead testing grounds and soaking up all the Cesium, Tellurium, and the stuff with the longer half lives then the three months or so iodine lasts.

Yes it is true that the

Yes it is true that the smoke can contain radioactive residual of past testing from the trees and plants. In the last major wildfire near Los Alamos so much residual was in the smoke that the local LPFM radio station KLDK in Dixon, NM was supplied with radiation detection sensors on their EAS system, the only case of this in the US.
