New data from Germany posted for iodine, cesium in air worldwide

Thought you all might be interested to see the German govt air monitoring results for iodine and cesium. The graphs are the easiest to understand without speaking German. Levels of iodine and cesium 137 upticked in June, seems to suggest ongoing releases. Cesium levels in air in Japan don't seem to have decreased much over the past few weeks.

Please explain how the numbers of actual detection, which appear much higher in the middle to eastern US than in Japan, correlate wtih the higher rate in Japan on the graph.
Also (and I have no doubt at all that these detections are accurate) that that Brawn and the US are reportedly not detecting these levels?
I live in Kansas and have since day one, thought we were being heavily impacted with radiation. What initially I thought was woodstove soot on white vehicles, continued long after the woodstove use had ended. I had to literally scrub it off at the car wash.

The graph shows higher detections in Japan all the way through since March. I don't understand.
