Mark, Why Are You the Only BRAWM Team Member Still Replying To Posts/
Questions?

Just curious...

We are all active researchers

We are all active researchers who had prior projects before Fukushima, mostly related to homeland security (i.e., how to detect illicit radioactive materials coming into the U.S.). Those projects have had to continue. I have had more flexibility in my schedule than the other team members to take on the forum duties.

The forum is very important to us, and I know that the other BRAWM members still read the forum and know what is being discussed.

Mark [BRAWM Team Member]

Homeland Security sounds like a great fit.

That helps make sense of much of your advice.

Thanks for clarifying Mark.

Is homeland security making

Is homeland security making sure we are safe from this contamination from Japan?

yeah-I feel much safer

yeah-I feel much safer now...

Thanks for your time ,

Thanks for your time , greatly appreciated!

This is a reasonable

This is a reasonable question.

My guess: there's just too much bulls--- going on here. Zionist conspiracies - endless claims that data's being withheld or made up - argumentation that laypeople know more and are more trustworthy than nuke experts - interminable self promotion. Not to mention suspicions about BRAWM's motives and the continual shrilling of "shill!"

We're lucky any one's kept at it this long. His university salary can't be worth this.

I don't mean to be rude with the following question-

Also- I agree with you on the self promotional sort of stuff that it helps to
wade through and past. There also seem to be some faithful interested
frequenters of the forum however. That's good.

Exactly what have 'Nuke Experts' been correct about?

Exactly what have 'Nuke Experts' been correct about?

It's true that Arnie Gundersen, Caldicott and a few others have called it
right- but wasn't it the 'NUKE Experts' who claimed early on that radioactive
isotopes could never reach the US West Coast?

I know that some of the conspiracies are far-fetched, but what do you think
'airplane analogies' breed? Trust?

UC Berkeley and the BRAWM Team can disavow statements like the Airplane
Analogy whenever they wish, can't they? If not then I guess they've really
put themselves in a bind.

They can still turn this around- it just doesn't begin with continuing to
defend such an egregious falsehood.

I know that some of the

I know that some of the conspiracies are far-fetched, but what do you think
'airplane analogies' breed? Trust?"

ahh yes. the heavily flawed and extremely unscientific bananas/airplanes/speedboats analogy.

pick a bale of cotton, pick a bale of hay

I think there are a lot of

I think there are a lot of people who are obviously upset and have no where to vent out their frustrations. It is understandable and it is good that we can all come to a place where doctors and scientists can help us understand or give opinions on the situation as it unfolds. Many are very concerned and scared and having someone to talk to with knowledge such as Mark makes me very grateful. Thanks Mark and all the other BRAWN Team members. We need you guys to help us understand what is happening.

Good question

Mark do you have a degree in public relations?

I would like to thank Mark

I would like to thank Mark for his commitment even when the times get tough. Thank you for sticking it through with us.

I'm asking because

It seems as if Mark may have been left holding the bag.

Where are the other team members? Especially Dr. Chivers
who doled out so much medical advice regarding ingestion of
radioactive isotopes being fine and dandy?

No one wants to be held

No one wants to be held accoutnable for the rest of their lives. Can you blame them?

I think they may realize it

I think they may realize it is worse than they imagined. Im still waiting for the plutonium test results which seem to have been delayed indefinitely.

Well, I'm just glad Mark is

Well, I'm just glad Mark is still responding.

And yes, it's gotten a little whackjob in here lately. It's nice of BRAWM to keep this forum open and not censor all this stuff, which has gotta be tempting. There's still diamonds in the mess, and the freedom to write and read anything is a great comfort to those of us who continue to worry about this situation.

i agree!

This still is a central website for a number of reasonable folks.

Everything though appears a bit out of wack or over the top. Sure, there are the goofy posts, but Fukushima is clearly out of control and they are just barely keeping things contained. Then throw in the problems with the flooding and the midwest plants that are a genuine concern...

There is a real void of folks speaking with authority, laying out a pathway to sanity. Oh, that's probably because there is currently no clear path!!!

I understand the BRAWM team laying low in these uncertain times, particularly when anything they say that can be taken out of context, probably will. I too appreciate Mark's ongoing responses.

Summer Break

Isn't it summer break for our UC Berkeley researchers too?
