Special report - Japan's "throwaway" nuclear workers

http://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/news/international/Special_report_-_Japans_t...

My statement is it's obvious tepco- Japan, nuclear industry don't want these workers tracked and studied.personally I believe the world as a whole would learn a great deal by studying the effects of radiation on these workers.so how do u write checks to these workers if u don't know the names .this begs the question are they paying them in cash so no paper trail will exist?

OMG Kfaka

OMG

Kfaka

progression

The weapon industry hiding behind and masquerading as the nuke power biz NEEDS disposable workers, rentable compliant politicians AND silent composted customers.
Nuclear Power ? No Thanks :)

Amazingly, even with all

Amazingly, even with all this "nuke power" down and in a society designed around cheap energy, Japan seems to be getting along quite fine. Clearly the power generated from nuclear plants is not all that impressive.

Japan, Nukes and the future

Nukes in all their various flavors, like every system of creating electrical power, have limitations that SHOULD keep them in their box. To that list of hard limitations for nukes we now add the possible depopulation of major cities and areas the size of Pennsylvania with the entire region reduced to a low rent neighborhood. If the populace is in control of their territory then the space, the box, for nukes is now approaching zero. If the military or industrial or its complex is in control nukes MUST exist to concentrate control and fuel modern empire.

Japan doing fine. Um not really. After a silly bar fight (earthquake), slipping in the bathtub and breaking both arms and getting a concussion (Tsunami), and advanced Pneumonia (the worst industrial and radiological disaster in history) I'd say that low available power is nothing as they rush toward the Bronze Age.

This will unfold over several decades. Need a talented technical professional cheep, I mean REALLY REALLY cheep ? Then get a slightly radioactive refugee from Japan. When the talent leaves those that remain will be reduced to a radioactive agrarian society.

Incredible. No, wait,

Incredible. No, wait, scratch that, nevermind; this is TEPCO after all. Which makes this ALL TOO believable. Inevitable even.

The workers from Chernobyl

The workers from Chernobyl clean up are still being tracked and studied. This is a great opportunity but once again they don't want to be truthful.

"The workers from Chernobyl

"The workers from Chernobyl clean up are still being tracked and studied."

No way. They don't even know how many liquidators were there at the time, something between 500,000 and 800,000, and that's one of the main problems to asses the long range effects of Chernobyl.

Hide it as much as they

Hide it as much as they like, the effects are obvious even to a layman.
