Data diddling rife over fallout figures in France, says CRIIRAD
My French is not great but using Google translate with the CRIIRAD docs downloadable here reveals (according to CRIIRAD) what appears to be serious data diddling by the French government over actual levels of fallout detected in France. "Techniques" include ironing out spikes in radiation by averaging out figures, ignoring the activity of gaseous iodine, and manipulating sampling times to include days prior to the arrival of fallout and not telling the public what sampling times were used.

CRIIRAD makes the point that delays in posting data are unacceptable and give time for more data diddling. Also that the French state has been cherry-picking which data they post. Apropos of this, it is not acceptable that the US EPA is allowed to get away with just posting a selection of data, and with not posting non-detects. It should be made clear in advance which data are going to be posted for which cities, and the results should be posted whatever they are.
CRIIRAD also makes a worrying point about governments cherry-picking which labs are used in analysis. Seems the popular ones are those that find non-detects because their equipment is unreliable or because they simply know what is expected of them.

Gaps
Honestly I have spent a few hours on EPA air filter Analyzation search.I can't say they are cherry picking for sure but data is sparse to say the least and some huge gaps for norcal to southern Oregon

Agenda based science is no more scientific than the Salem Witch Trials.
The ocean volume is increasing. At least some of the increase is due to meteoric ice contributions. A Nobel Prize was awarded for this discovery, which involved use of the Hubbel telescope a few years ago. So, I am a bit skeptical of ‘data enhancement’ activities that do not differentiate between the sources of ice melt, oceanic thermal expansion and meteoric ice.

The University of Colorado’s Sea Level Research Group decided in May to add 0.3 millimeters -- or about the thickness of a fingernail -- every year to its actual measurements of sea levels, sparking criticism from experts who called it an attempt to exaggerate the effects of global warming.
"Gatekeepers of our sea level data are manufacturing a fictitious sea level rise that is not occurring," said James M. Taylor, a lawyer who focuses on environmental issues for the Heartland Institute.
Steve Nerem, the director of the widely relied-upon research center, told FoxNews.com that his group added the 0.3 millimeters per year to the actual sea level measurements because land masses, still rebounding from the ice age, are rising and increasing the amount of water that oceans can hold.
"We have to account for the fact that the ocean basins are actually getting slightly bigger... water volume is expanding," he said, a phenomenon they call glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA).
