Can the Biochemistry department have more of a presence?
I do not understand BRAWM's intentions here. To me there purpose is to take and report the measurements. So why are they going out of their way to say the levels present no health dangers, when this is clearly out of their area of expertise? The apples to oranges comparison of ingesting hot particles to radiation from cross country flights is absurd. I appreciate the data, but you would be more credible with some interdepartmental collaboration, don't you think?

agreed, the comparison of
agreed, the comparison of in-flight radiation to internal radiation is laughable
That one has been beat to death
While I believe that comparisons can be drawn between airline flights and internal exposure as the BRAWM team has done:

can we move on to the more understandable example that the BRAWM team has given? I think people can wrap their heads around the following examples easier than the airline flight example:

I too would like to see more collaboration between the BRAWM team, other departments in UCB, other universities and government agencies (I have brought that up in another thread). Or at least more visibility into the collaboration that does exist.
