Nuclear Power
Some 104-nuclear reactors are currently licensed for operation in the USA by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). As these nuclear reactors reach the very end of their 40-year safety design basis - the NRC has been "rubber-stamping" 20-year license extensions. This is extremely dangerous as the metal in the nuclear reactor vessel becomes embrittled due to the bombardment of high-level radiation and subject to cracking and a resulting core melt-down - see - http://saprodani-associates.com
Now, the nuclear industry is pushing the NRC to license Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and TVA recently submitted a letter of intent to build one of these SMR nuclear reactors at the Watts Bar facility. Instead - this country should be rapidly installing solar and wind energy systems and devices like "on-demand" electric water heaters - and bringing an end to nuclear power in this country.

I wonder how many monikers
I wonder how many monikers this guy operates under to promote interest in alt energy. You want a shill folks...See above link. It's starting to become clear how many of these guys are flooding this forum with scare tactics to ramp up anti nuclear sentiments and steer public interest towards firms like this one. In fact I'll bet most of the posts you read that are trying to insult BRAWM's integrity and method come from just a few shills that are pretending to be 'average jane and joe' pointing fingers at posters that question their misleading threads and traffic direction. Con artists.
That's a pretty strong
That's a pretty strong statement there. Semi-libelous to boot. Do you have any evidence to back up this "conspiracy theory" or your slanderous remarks about the above poster?
And about the number of monikers, how many monikers did you use in the enenews.com thread to push your agenda?
Pot meet kettle.
I know I've quoted this to you before
A shill, plant or stooge is a person who helps a person or organization without disclosing that he or she has a close relationship with that person or organization.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shill
The link in his name is disclosure. Not a shill.
See how that works,
See how that works, enenews.com guy?
Not to worry you can become un-shilled.You just have to disclose the organization that you have a close relationship with.
Come on, its obvious to anyone who has been reading your paranoid enenews.com states their headlines in a way that scares me, but is technically true rants.
Why do you hate alt. energy?
Psychological projection or projection bias is a psychological defense mechanism where a person unconsciously denies his or her own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, usually to other people. Thus, projection involves imagining or projecting the belief that others originate those feelings.[1]
Projection reduces anxiety by allowing the expression of the unwanted unconscious impulses or desires without letting the conscious mind recognize them.
An example of this behavior might be blaming another for self failure. The mind may avoid the discomfort of consciously admitting personal faults by keeping those feelings unconscious, and by redirecting libidinal satisfaction by attaching, or "projecting," those same faults onto another person or object.

Follow the money - how much will those shutters cost ?
Looking forward to see the accounting for TOTAL COSTS for ALL aspects of decommissioning INCLUDING the cost of dealing with the nasty leftover glowing bits for.....HOW MANY THOUSANDS OF YEARS?
The companies that build
The companies that build them (with govt.insured loans) just pass the cost on to taxpayers. That's what happened in Oregon. I remember it well.
First, they created a confusing bill to have taxpayers help pay to build the nuclear power plant in Oregon - Trojan - then when the plant was obviously flawed and dangerous, they wrote another confusing bill to get taxpayers to pay to decommission it. Oregonians must not read too well, because they passed both and got screwed coming and going.
During the interim years, Trojan created quite a cozy little cancer cluster about 12 miles out, mostly in the downwind (easterly), but also in the downstream (westerly). Lots of fish and frogs with tumors and even babies born with cancer.
The companies are all about making as much money as they can, to heck with the people. It's sad. Sadder still that we let them get away with it out of laziness or ignorance.
Ah, finally some good
Ah, finally some good news...
