our overall exposure
I would love some overall feedback from some of you that have been following and understand this in more detail.
After this happened before we knew what was going on I took my 2yr old to the east coast for a week. We came back and thought of going to Europe for a month or more (I actually have a friend that did that), but we decided not to. Based on the the levels listed on this site I thought that I was wrong to be concerned and nothing is coming here (we are in the LA area).
Just now I found this forum and realize that maybe a lot of things have been here and are still coming here now. We eat a ton a fresh greens, but no dairy or meat, recently my daughter does eat some eggs from Texas and New Zealand.
Was I wrong not to leave, should we still leave? I would love a summary from some of the experts on here so that I can better understand our exposure.
Many, MANY thanks for your time,
Elisa

Elisa- I will say that I am
Elisa-
I will say that I am of the opinion that what fallout is here is NOT being added to at, least not much. No one has picked up on much of anything new in a while, but we will be dealing with what is here for a spell before it becomes less available to people and animals.
This is a good place to find info. Also,

I think common sense stuff is what you should do now (if anything - I have no beef with those who insist no action is necessary). Water filter, air filter, avoid dusts (always a good idea), avoid dairy for a a while or use pre-FK products. Eat lower on the food chain, and wash the heck out of veggies etc.
You would have been better
You would have been better off going to Australia or something, but really there is no point due to the law of dispersion. There might be some micro climates somewhere that get unscathed, but that is not a good economic use of your time and money. I would focus on air and water purification above all else. Get the good 3M electromagnetically charged air filters and some additional HEPA filters along with reverse osmosis for water. It's not worth quitting your life and moving.....YET! lol

Thank you! I just can not
Thank you! I just can not imagine living on all frozen and processed food. I have to think that getting some exposure and eating fresh food is better then eating all frozen and old food. I dont know, but at least I am avoiding food from that area and hawaii.
That's right. Frozen and old
That's right. Frozen and old food are relatively DEAD food. You need real live fresh food full of life. Just the thought of anything less makes me ill.
That's just not true.
That's just not true. freezing doesn't kill food. Cooking actually destroys nutrients much more then freezing. And frozen and packaged food need not be heavily processed. I stocked up on frozen organic fruit and veggies (they often have MORE nutrients than fresh because they are frozen right away after picking). I bought a year's supply of pastured butter (it keeps for a year in the fridge). I bought bags of raw nuts and dried fruit, frozen organic ground turkey and canned tuna and wild salmon. Also bought about 6 months worth of almond, cashew and peanut butter, dried beans, organic soups, dried seaweed and organic almond milk among other things. I also had put about 5 gallons of milk in the freezer and therefore was able to drink milk up until about 3 weeks ago when we finally ran out.
frozen fruits and veggies
frozen fruits and veggies aren't "dead". They are actually more nutritious since they are frozen at peak freshness. It's the heat from canning and pasteurization you stay away from. Keep in mind most frozen fruit/vegs are "blanched" in hot water for 5 minutes before being flash frozen. I will take my chances with that over trying to wash fresh....
Not going to advise you
I'm not an expert, so I'm not going to advise you on this. Except for you to be careful about the advice you do get from this forum. There are some pretty extreme views being posted. So, please. Validate any advice you get from this forum by talking with someone who is not emotionally or financially attached to either side of the issue.
Take care.
Thank you for that. I hope
Thank you for that. I hope I get some responses :)
