Beta Gross 200 CPM for two days
Hello,
Is this a bad sign ? Please see the link for San Diego EPA showing 200 CPM for two days in a row.

I thought that we are supposed to worry if it goes to 100CPM for more than a day this is 200
CPM. Please advise thank you.

There's no spike in the gamma graph
So, I don't think there's a spike in anything signficant.
And anything over 100CPM is an alert level in *some* sites
simply if it's a significant increase over the normal level.
It's not a run for the hills level. If it was, areas would
be regularly evacuated across the US.
And there isn't a corresponding spike in Riverside, Anaheim
or San Bernardino.

The Sacramento monitor has been flaky. You can't go by it.

If you want something to worry about, move to Amarillo, Tx.

parts of CA
...have been experiencing spurts of high CPM readings. You can see it in the current graph of Sac - the blank areas in the beta map - those are the data points that were taken offline - looks like beta count got too high. I think the LA area had some issues too.
No answers, lots of questions.
Beta Counts for L.A.
Just an FYI- I've been calling the EPA EVERYDAY, asking for the Gross Beta Count for L.A., because the Los Angeles monitoring has been down the last four days. Beta count has been very low. Today, for example, high was 12 or 14, and currently @ 2:34pm, PDT, it is 9 (EPA said background for LA is 40). Enviroreporter has been showing CPMs mostly around background for their West Los Angeles/ Santa Monica border location (42-46CPMs). I don't now what's going on, and it's so difficult to tell, with so little monitoring happening.
