Odd Silver Specks in Washington Sky

It almost looked like pollen but they give off a glint of silvery light. It's the strangest thing, and I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't happened to lay flat on my back on the hood of the car for a few minutes. My fiance and I both see them, so I'm pretty sure I'm not imagining it. I'm thinking about asking the neighbor if he does too. It's pretty odd. I know there are posters here from WA so I'm just curious if any else noticed what looked like miniscule flecks of tinsel dancing against the overcast grey skies. I'm not attributing this to fall out I'm just hoping someone can confirm the phenomenon and maybe explain it.

the timing is right: TEPCo

the timing is right: TEPCo announced a major radiation release May8, that was Sunday. It is now Friday, which would be about accurate in terms of time it takes to travel to Washington and the Westcoast.
I personally believe this is not pollen. Please take a sample with gloves and take it to a lab. What if it is uranium or something?
Better to test it and have evidence.
I am not surprised by anything anymore, and the timeframe of the May 8 release fits perfectly.

My girlfriend just mentioned

My girlfriend just mentioned that the town is pretty well known for being home to a smelter also an auto paint shop is just a few blocks down the street. I assume that might have something to do with it. From what I understand it's definately not uranium...these radioactive particles are impossible to see. Funny how we completely ignore these other pollutants but panic at the thought of radiation. Anyhow Please Disregard Thread.

How do you know that

How do you know that radioctive particles, from Fukushima are impossible to see? What gives you the right to assume that? It is as like Obama saying"it is impossible that dangerous level reach the US."

You better be open minded and I do not think that a paint shop does s.th. like that.

Do you have link to this

Do you have link to this announcement from Tepco?

I think you should tell the

I think you should tell the guys at BRAWM that you can spot fallout with the naked eye so they stop using all their expensive equipment to try to measure it.

I think I specified I wasn't

I think I specified I wasn't attributing it to fallout...just wondering if anyone in WA noticed it. Thanks.

I believe the contamination

I believe the contamination is worse (according to simulations) in Washington and BC, with such limited testing who can certainly say.

I understand the blackout is supposed to keep most calm, but sometimes it incites panic in and of itself.

The fear of the unknown and of not knowing.
