I may be completely wrong,

I may be completely wrong, but it seems the meltdown happened the first days after the accident, some hours after loosing cooling capabilities. The news is that Tepco has finally recognized the situation, or at least that they were able to obtain enough hard data to confirm what many had suspected from the beginning.

What I would like to read at this point is some expert opinion on both the best and the worst case scenarios. Or at least someone recognizing that there is absolutely no way of predicting the consequences.

At this point it's probably in the process of becoming a lump of corium.

As long as it stays inside it's no worse than now. If there is leaking water from the nozzles, that will not matter if the flood the containment vessel.
