NEW GROUP HAS FORMED THAT FIGHTS BACK AGAINST THIS MADNESS

Let's sign up, folks. We all complain that there's nothing we can do about the food situation, but there is. We can at the very least stop this from happeneing again, much closer to home. Just imagine the situation we'd be in if one of the 104 reactors in our country has a catastrophe like the one in Fukushima. Think of the risk that's involved for just 20% of America's power! Is worth it? Mothers for Peace doesn't think so. Nor do I. Here's a link to their petition. http://mothersforpeace.org/data/2011/mothers-for-peace-joins-45-groups-i...

Back in the 60's we used to march and demand for change. Have we suddenly lost our voices?

Extreme responses to this thread

Someone posted a very positive link of mothers who are trying to make a difference. It saddens me that no one else has bothered to comment on or view the petition due to the radical responses that this thread has received. There are A LOT of mothers on this forum who can try to come together and try to make a change for the benefit of our children. Where are they ??

I agree that these responses

I agree that these responses are extreme and unnecessary. If you would like to review and sign it, do so and show support for changing the world for the better for your children. If you don't want to or think it won't do any good then just move on. I am a mother and I will most likely support this to at least TRY to make a change for the better for my children and all children.

Make a change

Yes, there always seems to be a "tipping point." So, while things look insurmountable for a period of time, all of a sudden there is enough of a unified voice that what once looked impossible, becomes inevitable; and you cannot even imagine how it could have been any other way.

So, we MUST sign petitions, march, call our government officials (even if we have to hold our nose doing so!), and PUSH for MORE testing, transparent testing, and ongoing testing during this period of time while Fukushima is an open, nuclear sore!

Naturally, we have to also stop this nuclear madness on our own soil.

Believe me, I used to be a Pollyanna, but I am now as jaded as anyone on this site. So, for those on here who are tempted to retort to my clarion call with chortles and eye rolls, you don't need to bother. I get it. Believe me, I get it! But, we have no other choice!

I'm starting to believe that

I'm starting to believe that Obama is one of them, frankly. In essence, a mouthpiece....

I think the comments here have been an extreme response

Morons

The same morons who voted for Obama's "hope & change" actually believe that Internet petitions mean anything. "Let's gather 500,000 electronic signatures, so 'the authorities' can simply push the delete button!"

Obama is worse than Bush. At least Bush didn't claim to be on our side.

MASSIVE NON COMPLIANCE is

MASSIVE NON COMPLIANCE is what we need not signatures. Imagine the whole U.S. refusing paying their taxes or not using banking services for 1 day or more..

Absolutely! A General Strike!

Even a large portion engaging in a general strike would shake things up.

They are FEW, WE are MANY,

They are FEW, WE are MANY, think about it. THEY work for US WITH our TAX DOLLAR - not the other way around. ITS TIME TO WAKE UP!

I will gladly sign petitions

I will gladly sign petitions and call my members of congress, and for the people who want to snark about it - what exactly are you doing to change anything besides making snarky comments on your puter?

BUT what we all really need to do is demand that Congress pass a constitutional amendment to overturn the recent obscene CITIZENS UNITED supreme court decision that has opened the floodgates to corporations literally buying elections and politicians. There's just no way we can compete with that and the power that the nuclear industry and the oil industry, wall street, etc have had will be even more completely realized in years to come.

We need to get their filthy millions out of our elections. Hopefully someone on that court will die and Obama can appoint someone who will overturn that decision. It was a 5-4 decision. disgusting.

LOL - LOL - LOL

LOL, you really think an electronic entry on some idiotic petition is going to mean ANYTHING to these gangsters in Washington?

Jamie Oliver got a lot done

Jamie Oliver got a lot done with his petition. It is possible. Anything is possible.

Apparently you're the kind that likes to

lay down like a dog and take it, huh

Put up or shut up

Are you ready to take up arms for freedom, or are impotent Internet petitions the extent of your "action"?

why don't you stop laughing

and do something about it for a change? it's all you nay-sayers that keep the situation status quo. we are a collective and we need to take back our country. but no, it's far easier to criticize and laugh at the people who actually have enough passion for change, isn't it?

Taking back the country means armed revolution

Is that what you're prepared to undertake? Are you so stupid to think "voting" means anything? And petitions are less than useless.

Thank you for the info

Thank you for the info. I immediately clicked onto the link. I read the legal petition. However, did I miss a public petition that needed signatures?

I'm looking into that too, but here's another link

We can also sign this petition and DEMAND for safe food and for our kids sake!

Unless you're ready to utilize the Second Amendment

These gangsters in Washington will just keep LAUGHING at you. "Demand." LOL

YOU didn't purchase the government. General Electric, et. al. did.
