Calif. Dept. of Public Health Still Not Detecting Anything
Just FYI. The CDPH is still reporting no detections.
This is the 4/26 report that is for 4/13/11 samples
of air and the 4/18 sample of milk.

It has already been established that the CDPH's MDA
is higher (less sensitive) than the BRAWM team's. For
example, the iodine-131 MDA for air in the CDPH 4/26 report
was 0.0389 pCi/M3 (1.44E-6 Bq/L). Their result was 0.0212
pCi/L +/- 0.00825 (7.85E-7 Bq/L), which is below their
MDA. So, they consider it a non-detection.
By contrast, the BRAWM team's MDA for iodine-131 in air
for their 4/24-4/27 sample was 5.6E-09 Bq/L (0.0000056
pCi/M3). And they reported 2E-08 Bq/L (0.00054 pCi/M3).
Which is lower than the CDPH MDA, but well above the
BRAWM MDA. So, the BRAWM team is capable of detecting MUCH
lower activity with a high level of confidence.
So, the bottom line is that we are busy worrying over the
"detections" the BRAWM team is reporting. But, they are
at levels below what the CDPH can detect and/or care about.
The BRAWM team just has better/more sensative equipment.
