BRAWM Team: *All* Milk Results Are From An Organic Dairy ?
Hello BRAWM team,
For milk you have two sections
Pasteurized, Homogenized Milk
and
"Raw" Milk
Are all the results in both categories "results for milk samples obtained from a Bay Area organic dairy where the farmers are encouraged to feed their cows local grass"?
Just curious if any was regular store bought milk.

All milk, to my knowledge,
All milk, to my knowledge, has been from local (i.e. northern California) dairies where cows are open range. We have been testing both the grass and the milk to attempt quantification of that pathway.

I was wondering because I also saw the 4/19 results log entry copied below
that mentions both "raw milk samples from local Bay Area dairy farmers" and
"store bought milk". I wasn't sure if the team purchased store bought milk
that was still from open range cows.
4/19/2011 7:45pm: Milk samples were updated to a Best By date of 5/2, and we added two raw milk samples from local Bay Area dairy farmers. The store-bought milk levels of I-131, Cs-134, and Cs-137 are showing definite signs of leveling off..

That's right; the "store bought" we indeed purchased from the grocery store, but we are purchasing only milk that we can trace back to local, open range cows.
