Consequences to us of increased environmental radiation.

Whatever anybody says, the consequences to us of increased radiation from the Japanese disaster are not known. However much or little there is, it’s in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and it is present 24/7/365—all the time, in other words. We are continuously exposed to a heightened level of radioactivity.
But hold on, here is some very good news! The EPA seems to be coming to the rescue by greatly increasing allowable radiation levels. So whatever happens in the way of health effects won’t be a result of the nuclear calamity because the new levels are safe! Who says we can’t count on the government?
