Radiation in Seafood

FDA announced that it has no plan to monitor radiation in seafood "because the threat to human health is minimal." U.S. continues to import seafood from Japan and again, FDA is NOT testing any seafood coming into the U.S. from Japan because they "trust the high standard of Japanese authority." Are they joking?

Dear Berkeley Monitoring Team, please start testing both local and imported seafood!! I read an article on 4/7 that Spanish reserch ship Hesperides was planning to monitor radioactive contamination in Pacific and would announce the results to the world, yet I have not been able to find any follow up announcement. I fear that the information maybe supressed.

I truly appreciate all your independent monitoring. Please do add seafood and ocean water monitoring to your project.
