Strontium 90?

How is this detected and is it being tested for? Since it has been found at Fukushima would it be in the fallout the US is receiving from Japan?

Strontium

This has been covered several times in this forum. The good news is that if it were here, the CTBTO and EPA monitoring should have found it, and they have not. On the other hand, several posters have provided out articles reminding us all that there was plenty of it supplied to us all in the past by the above-ground nuclear testing.

I do not think this is accurate. EPA has only tested once

and that was a month ago in two locations. It is the only test reported that I have seen. i have not seen that the CBTBO is testing for it either but if you have a link I'd love to see that data.

BRAWM does not have the equipment to test for it and I have repeatedly asked about this with no satisfactory responses other than "we don't test for it because we do not have the equipment to.

I believe that the REAL coverup in the EPA and by the industry MAY be the strontium 90.

I worked with some of the people in the Radiation and Public Health Project and their studies show high levels of strontium 90 which they believe is from nuclear power plant regular operations.

It gets absorbed into a baby's teeth during gestation and the RPHP tests baby teeth that have fallen out. ALL samples have absorbed radionuclides in the teeth (locked in by the enamel).

WHY are there no Strontium 90 test results or samples? I believe it is becase it is EVERYWHERE and that IF they found increased levels (it has a half life of more than 28 years so will get in you bones and bone marrow and blood and brain and organs and keep on killing and mutating cells your whole life) then they would have to admit that we are ALL guinea pigs.

But hell if someone has data of no strontium 90 I would LOVE to see that data. REAL up to date data.

I do NOT underdstand why there is NO discussion of strontium 90 and I was just going to post about it again. It is killer radioisotope.

If it's true that Strontium

If it's true that Strontium 90 is still around, then how come the EPA and CTBTO didn't find any?

Something doesn't add up.

how do you know they didn't

how do you know they didn't find any? They're not reporting any testing of it. They're simply ignoring it, which makes no sense.

they are not looking for it

because they do not want to find it and the public to find out that it is in EVERY ONE OF US, every PET, every CANCER victim, every cat with feline leukemia, every infant who dies in its first year: ALL of us.

There was one study linked here which showed this going back to the 1950's and 1960's and many people believe it is the source of the cancer pandemic as well as mutating viruses and bacteria which cause pandemics.

It is everywhere due to nuclear bomb tests and remains in the biosphere for hundreds of years. I have no idea what its biological half life is but it REMAINS in bone and teeth your whole life.

Scary sh*t

Isn't Feline leukemia a

Isn't Feline leukemia a virus? FeLV? I know my cat gets vaccinated against it.

It is a blood cancer caused by a virus like the salmon leukemia

reported in one of the posts here in seafood. These Viruses get mutated by radiation as well and become strains which cats (or humans, in the case of genital virus-caused cancers) have no immunity to anymore, thus the new strains cause the leukemia.

That is the theory but whether or not the stronium 90 cuased the mutated virus and hence the leukemia, the cats will still most likely have strontium 90 in their bones and teeth if they live in the northewrn hemisphere where there are hundreds of nuke plants and 65 or more years of radioisopes from the nuclear industry.

With respect to viruses,

With respect to viruses, they mutate all the time by themselves, regardless of radiation. In fact, there is more reason to suspect that radiation would terminally damage viruses more then help them out. Their genetic information is stores as RNA only or small segments of DNA without repair mechanisms. This is afterall the basis (plus bacteria) for irradiating foods.

I don't really buy the line that we have any more to fear from radioactive viruses than from natural mutations from cross-species infection.
