White smoke - Question to BRAWN team

Here is an excerpt from iaea.org:

"As of 18th April, white smoke was still observed coming from Units 2, 3 and 4.".

Any theory on what this white smoke is? Is this the source of radioactive particles that are getting released to air?

thanks

arnie gundersen said that the white smoke is radioactive steam. he is the original three mile island whistleblower and really knows this stuff inside out and backwards. he has been putting out video releases on his "fairewinds" website if you want to check them out.

I think the only thing I think I can say about white smoke is that it does not contain carbon...normally oil fires (anything with hydrocarbons) will produce black smoke. White smoke can be a myriad of things. Sorry I can't be more specific. In the Navy, we used to call out white smoke to signify electrical fires. Hope someone can illuminate on this. Are there any fire fighters on this forum?

that is interesting, the

that is interesting, the electrical fires. Can the radioactive particles charge the air electrically? after all, nuclear reactors produce energy with the nuclear chain reaction.
As far as I know, I have never seen white smoke and that is why it is so concerning. It just seems odd. Would uranium be white if it gets oxidized?
Could it be small uranium particles going into the air?
