Please could someone explain to me what

1.80E-06 means?

Also, when you say to the factor of 10, does that just mean multiply by 10?

1.8E-06 means 1.8 divided by 10 to the power of 6 or ... 1.8/1,000,000

another easy way is to just move the decimal point to the left (or right if E+06) 6 times, adding zeros when necessary.

So: 1.8E-06 is 0.0000018

This is just short-hand so we don't have to write all of those zeros. Sorry for the math lesson.
