Fallout comparison to Chernobyl
I was wondering if there is a current comparison of the amount of fallout we have received in comparison to European countries after Chernobyl.
Thanks for your help.

Comparisons will be made in
Comparisons will be made in due time. This data is preliminary and any comparison studies will require careful analysis of methods of any data from other groups. This is why quality publications are critical to this type of work as we need not just the "results" but how the results were obtained to truly understand the comparison. There is so much we do not understand within the time evolution of the data that to make snap comparisons would be irresponsible.
Dr. Chivers, It appears EPA
Dr. Chivers,
It appears EPA air monitoring data from Berkeley in May 1986 following Chernobyl detected higher levels of I-131 and Cs-137 than you and your team have detected over the last several weeks which, on the surface, would seem to be somewhat encouraging. Here is the link to the 1986 data for Berkeley and other locations: http://oaspub.epa.gov/enviro/erams_query.simple_query. Is this a valid comparison, or are there other details that you would need to know in order for this comparison to be valid? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
