Trader Joe's production date-sell by date gap

Does anyone know or have called about how you can tell when a frozen food package from Trader Joe's has been packaged?

Especially frozen fruits, vegetables, and meat. Thanks.

I've contacted them already and they say it differs from product to product, but I'd like more specifics.
