lessons from Chernobyl
I was just thinking about our current situation. I am from Germany and was 14 years old when Chernobyl happened. I am now 38 and was diagnosed with a thyroid lump in 2004. They did a biopsy which was benign. My aunt had to have her thyroid removed for lumps and I was just told that a friend of our family had thyroid lumps so they took out the thyroid.
Keep in mind, although we do see low levels of I131, we won't know the impact on our health until 10, 20 or more years from now. I do not want to sound disheartened, but due to my own experience, I do have a problem with that concept of "no harmful radiation" as proposed by Obama and others. They are malinformed.

check out this article which talks about increased thyroid cancer from immigrants from Ukraine in New york state.
Here, too
I'm a Nor Cal Bay Area resident. My grandmother, now deceased, had thyroid problems. Two years ago my mother had to take iodine for her hyperactive thyroid. Last year during a routine physical, my doctor noticed by thyroid levels werea bit high...high enough to mention it to me...
Of course the news of all of this stuff in the air and water and food has me nervous. But I'm going to keep getting monitored, stay informed, try to eat right and keep my stress levels low. Beyond that, what else can you do?
There are just a few possibilities here...
[1] As you say, the Powers-That-Be ARE mis- (or, at least, under-) informed;
[2] The Powers-That-Be are being told, straight up, that there's not a lot of "there" there, and by folks who are at the tops of their fields... And are WRONG;
[3] There's really not much to worry about, the Powers-That-Be realize that there may be long-term health effects but unless you're talking about a VERY large "sampling population", the incidence of cancer will likely be statistically insignificant, or at least real hard to quantify / establish causality;
[4] The Powers-That-Be know better, but this is SUCH a widespread and uncontrollable problem that they've elected to keep a tight lid on it, seeing as you can't evacuate North America, much less the northern hemisphere; and neither can we all buy all our groceries and meats from south of the equator until, say, 2311.
...Pick one, folks. I doubt anyone will EVER know the truth of the matter, not in our lifetimes, anyway.

so cancer rates are 44% for men and 37% for women all u have to do is monitor these rates which are sure to be on rise due to variety's of risk factors.don't act like the science wont be there for u to see, it will. as my dad and many i know have died or are dying of cancer i cant remember me personally the last time i knew someone who died of old age.so statistically speaking we will know.

monitor this site it has science u can see now and for the future.
