CRIIRAD (French nuclear research body): "Radiation risks from Fukushima no longer negligible"

The levels in France seems to be lower than they are in the U.S. so this is unsettling. If you BRAWM guys get a chance to read this, you're opinion and technical expertise on their numbers would be great. Thanks for all the work you guys are doing!!!

I don't know if the link to the report on Chernobyl, consequences for the environment and people, has been posted anywhere here or not, since I haven't been reading every post. Thought I'd toss out out the link in case anyone is looking for it:

CRIIRAD

The CRIIRAD article states that radiation releases are ongoing, as of 4/05/2011, and are projected to continue for the near future. Why are the radioisotope readings @ UC Berkeley dropping to MDA levels, then? Are we to expect levels to rise once again, due to further releases? Thanks so much for all that you are doing. The information here from the BRAWM Team and serious posters are very much appreciated!

Very interesting article.

Very interesting article. Thanks for posting. Interesting how safe limits vary between nations. Perhaps the french have learned to be more cautious from Chernobyl?

I am a little confusd by smething in the article :mSv

they wrote mSv as microSeiverts but I thought that represented milliseiverts.

anyone?

This arose in my thread on the Physicians for Social Responsibility report too.

and it arises in the worried Mum thread as well.

mSv means milliSeiverts, right? I do not have a symbol on my computer for the micro but I guess that uSv might be acceptable?

You added the all caps part, anybody can copy paste then add little things. Why are you so bothered by this? Is it easier to bury your head in the sand if people don't post important info? Just don't read the thread if it bothers you so much.Troll

To the OP: Thanks for posting this. It is concerning that we have ten times the levels as France but we are still told it's negligible.

Where does it say "NOT OTHER DATA"?Show me where it says no other data? You are the one who is off topic YOU! You are not discussing any data, only trying to twist the statements from the "Berkely Folks Themselves".

They do not have a problem with other data. There are several threads here where the staff thanks people for posting OTHER DATA and advancing the discussion.
Keep trying troll, you might be able to derail this thread if you keep at it.

Honestly I couldn't find
