Don't know if anyone's seen this guy yet...
...Forbes Magazine's Jeff McMahon, who blogs online for them under the moniker, "The Ingenuity of the Commons", has been pretty up-to-speed on the Fukushima nuclear event, and he's just about the only mainstream-media type -- you can't get much more mainstream than Forbes, after all -- who seems interested in radiological monitoring here in the States. Here are six of his recent posts that might be of interest to folks here -- they're all pretty quick reads, with the possible exception of the first (and I think, most informative) one:

(...I highly recommend reading that one, btw.)

Thanks for being so active
Thanks for being so active Rick, you save us all a lot of time.
P.S. Just one month ago - could you imagine all that? It's depressing, and no one knows how long is it going to last. We've taken natural beauty of West Coast for granted and never realized how fragile our environment is, all it takes is three melted reactors to contaminate half of the planet.
I feel that we have to do something, even small things like recycling, choosing cars with better mpg, etc., every little bit helps. Unless we change our ever-increasing consumption model, our kids will inherit a junk yard. Greed should not rule the world, it is a dead end.
sorry for the long post.
