Recommendation for methodology of topsoil measurement

The data was recorded as Bq/kg. I am trying to compare it to historic data from Europe after Chernobyl (found here: http://www.davistownmuseum.org/cbm/Rad7b.html), but their data were in Bq/m3.

So in order to compare you data with theirs, I need to know how deep into the ground you dug. Was it just a shallow dig, or one with a decent depth? Could you give an estimate of the depth? Thank you!

Topsoil comparison to Chernobyl

I just wanted to say that if a comparison can be made, Joe, or BRAWM team, I'd really appreciate your commentary.

Thanks

Soil was taken from a patch

Soil was taken from a patch of approximately 2 cm deep and and area of 30 by 40 cm.
