Potential for MOX plutonium nuclear detonation

It's a pretty wil theory, but one I wanted to bounce off the NUC staff.

If the MOX in reactor #3 (6% PU) was molten and coelesced into a sperical shape that 170 lbs of PU in such a configuration would achieve criticality, and with the surround Uranium act as a two stage nuclear explosion.

Is this even possible?
