Staff, please comment on latest air readings and exposure. Air particulate seems very high in bay area!!!!
Can the Berkeley staff please comment on the latest air samples? You can barely see Berkeley from San Francisco this morning the particulate is so thick. This is not a marine layer, so where ard we on the radioactive particulate measurements in the air and exposure risks? We cannot control that uptake as we can in milk and water. Thanks, we all are relying on you to be candid and honest so we can make adjustments in our lives if we need to!!

calculating the effects
So I am looking for still more clarity on this exposure conversation where the amounts found in the environment are calculated to plane flight exposures over a year. If a long lived substance that emanates some type of radiation for months or years gets lodged into your physical body through exposure creating a continued cellular disruption at its location, how is that comparable to the confined hours of a San Francisco to New York airplane trip exposure? Like saying a hot cigarette lighter placed on your arm is the same as that same amount of heat coming from a heater in your room. Let me know what I am missing. thank you.
I agree with you. I am in
I agree with you. I am in San Mateo and there was (I am not kidding) a thick black clouds lingering around for 2 hours, the air feels stuffy since yesterday. Now the sun came and I cannot see that thick black cloud/stuffy someting anymore, it must be gone around the corner of my windwo. i am not joking.
I am either starting to lose my mind or something is going on. No one else has the feeling that the air feels heavier and that it was very clouded this morning?
Well, if you look at this
Well, if you look at this map, you would want drugs for depression.
And to quote this article.

"On March 21, Stanford University presented an invitation-only panel discussion on the Japanese crisis that featured Alan Hansen, an executive vice president of Areva NC, a unit of the company focused on the nuclear fuel cycle.
“Clearly,” he told the audience, “we’re witnessing one of the greatest disasters in modern time.”"
