EPA's radiation reporting games
I thought people in this thread might be interested in this article from 2010 that documents the EPA's little games they use in order to skew radiation counts in water. Subtracting, ignoring, and rounding are some of the above.

This is rare and excellent piece of investigative journalism and so relevant. My favorite quote was from the Boston University School of Public Health professor who blasts the idea that officials should withhold information so people don't get overexcited or "panic."
OZONOFF: "I have to say, my colleagues in public health are sometimes guilty of saying ‘we’re not going to tell people everything’ because it will panic them. Well, the first thing that makes me panic is when someone says, ‘I don’t want to panic you.’ I’m in favor of telling people everything so they can make their own decisions about it."

You can trust the government
You can trust the government, just ask an American Indian!
The New York Times published a WHOPPER chart, to go along with the EPA lies:
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/04/02/world/asia/assessing-the-r...
http://www.zerohedge.com/sites/default/files/images/user5/imageroot/bern... (just the chart)
This chart claims that standing 1/4 of a mile from the Fukushima Dai-ichi burning reactors "could be associated with slightly higher cancer risk after four days."
It also claims that Plutonium contaminating the area is "not unsafe."
If they lie about that, it is logical to presume they're lying about all the rest.
