outdoors vs. indoors
Hi,
Somebody asked this question earlier but nobody answered it, so I'll try to ask it again.
Is there any difference in exposure, outdoors vs. indoors? E.g., in amount of cs137 one might breath?
Thanks so much for what you are doing!

Well, normally I would say
Well, normally I would say indoors over outdoors in the case where one is in danger of contamination. But, in this case I would not close yourself off from the world. The amounts we are talking about is much less that the normal air pollution particulates and natural radioactive gas (radon) and associated decay products. In other words, one should not be worried.
Thanks! So I guess concrete
Thanks!
So I guess concrete walls do block some of these particles? I noticed that radiation is different at different times during the day and thought it might make sense to take my baby for a walk when the radiation levels are lower.
thanks again.
Actually, concrete walls
Actually, concrete walls emit much more radioactivity than what one gets from the air. If you want to see differences and estimate your yearly dose, the EPA has a Dose Calculator on the web.
