The EPA says that rainwater will be affected temporarily. I'm wondering what this statement is based on, since Japanese media and the IAEA predict no end date for the emissions from Fulushima.

It sounds like they normally test milk only once every three months, but that just now, they are starting to accelerate their testing. It says that 3 days is the duration for accurate results from milk.
