cs-137 vs. k-40

Does it make sense to compare the gamma radiation emitted by cs-137 with that emitted by k-40 -- e.g., in term of energy, and therefore possible biological effects? Just wondering how much the trace amounts of cs-137 should be discounted due to the fact there are much larger amounts of k-40 always present in the environment.

Biological effects of different energies of radiation are completely accounted for in the calculation of equivalent dose, which goes into the ALI numbers we use for our results.
