Water quality sample questions

Couple questions about water samples:

How does I131 normally behave once it's been dissolved in water as in raifall? Ie, as the rain evaporates from the ground, will it evaporate into the air more or concentrate on ground more?

Are you planning on taking any samples from the ample snowfall up in the Sierras? May be interesting comparison.
