safe dose of radiation
What is my safe, daily ingested dose level limit for:
1- iodine
2-cesium
3-plutonium
4-any other scary isotope that's created by a MOx accident
If possible, please answer in picocuries & cph.
many thanks for this forum!

daily ingested dose level guidlines vary greatly
Maximum Contamination Levels for Iodine-131 in drinking water for adults.
EPA
wow, scary
Thank you Raj! That is the type of info I am looking for. Do you have the same for Cs-137? That is teh isotope that is remaining constant in the measurements ( from that reactor #3. They had black smoke coming from it again yesterday; Wed.) Thanks again, I really appreciate that table.
Cs-137
No I don't have this info for Cs-137. It took me several hours this morning to compile this information on I-131 from many sources. As you see, the variation in Max Contamination Level guidelines spans several orders of magnitude depending on the authority. Clearly there is not a consensus within the scientific/regulatory community as to the health risks associated with exposure to I-131 radionuclides.

Wow Raj, Thank you for
Wow Raj,
Thank you for taking all that time. I have already sent that table out to everyone I know & all my cyber friends as well. Knowledge is power, the power to protect one's health & family. Much gratitude.

I don't know if there are
I don't know if there are similar guidelines for the public, but the NRC has recommendations for Annual Limit on Intake (ALI) listed on their site.(sry don't have them on hand, but you should be able to search NRC ALI on google)
ALI
NRC? You mean the National Radiation Council? Their annual limit has nothing to do with my question.
That's Nuclear Regulatory
That's Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
We have links posted on our
We have links posted on our dose calculation page to the NRC ALI tables for all nuclides.
