Six NE Students Win Awards at ANS Student Conference

The 2014 ANS Student Conference, hosted by the Pennsylvania State University, took place on April 3 - 6 at University Park, PA.  Six Berkeley NE students were awarded at the Conference.  


New Berkeley Airborne Radioactivity Monitor System is Online!

The Berkeley Radwatch team has installed a new system that allows us to see natural airborne radioactivity, in (almost) real time. This system is unique world-wide as it is not only based on a high-resolution and highly sensitive gamma-ray detector which collects data continuously but makes the data available to the public on an hourly basis.

Grad Student Ryan Pavlovsky Measures and Analyzes Radiation in Half Moon Bay

Graduate student, Ryan Pavlovsky, and Professor Kai Vetter went out to Half Moon Bay recently to measure radiation levels following some recent widely publicized measurements indicating increased radiation levels on a beach north of the town of Half Moon Bay.
